Can we develop a strategic mindset and be a "super strategist" by navigating through key fundamental issues in Management through a process of dialectic discourse rather than pitter-patter "etched in stone" theory.
I am trying to put on net teaching material for an elective "Strategy Discourse" through several easy-to-read articles and notes.
At the end of the discourse-based method that underlies the treatment of the subject, the participant will have "greater understanding of their confusion" rather than "greater confusion about their understanding," to use the words of poet Robert Graves.
The course will go to the root of strategy making, ie., the strategy maker in the context of decision-making situations and would enhance
1) systems thinking capabilities
2) integrative thinking
3) confidence in adopting an "AND" mindset
4) comfort with complexity
5) ability to see the big picture before diving into details
This effort is under way. Please help me develop this further. Your comments will be greatly appreciated.
Please go first to the Course Outline provided at
http://docs.google.com/Doc?docid=ajb8vdkpj948_bdxhthfvkftb&hl=en
From there you will be guided to separate topics through links I have provided and will provide in the near future.
Please post your comments on this blog or email them. Feel free to suggest any new material that should be included or comment on the "overall picture" I am trying to paint.
Thanks
